Timesheet application in local server hosted and web based versions.
TimeLive Open source software provides a web-based tool for timesheet automation. Related functions that could be handled include billing automation, expense management, employee attendance automation, project management and task management. There are two versions. You can get it hosted on your own server locally or use an ASP or hosted version. For trial the 5 user version of both are free to use. This tool lets you and other users charge amount of time used on sub tasks and tasks of a project. That will help keep track of costs incurred and the pricing to be done for the projects. Often projects are paid for based on time used as also allowable expenses incurred. This application provides you keeping track of all such expenses as well as approval workflow. Project billing is derived from the time used and the approved expenses.
Project managers and team leads are able to view the project status any time. Integration of project management and collaboration helps everybody work effectively. Co-ordination is through emails and alerts are sent to relevant people when something changes. Time sheets and expense management work flow can be customized. This has a simple and easy to use interface. It is intuitive enough that most users should get familiar with it quite easily. Getting productive with it should not take much time. Most people working with projects should be able to get productive with this tool very easily. Audit trail features are available. This is a very good product. If you are looking for a similar solution, you should try it in your exact workflow.
